The AROHE Virtual Summit 2022 featured an engaging fireside chat, led by Paul Irving, senior fellow at the Milken Institute, founding chair of its Center for the Future of Aging, and distinguished scholar-in-residence at the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, and moderated by Helen Dennis, nationally recognized columnist, author, and speaker on issues of aging and the new retirement. Both Mr. Irving and Ms. Dennis are highly respected experts in the field of positive aging and have been recognized for their innovative leadership and contributions. Paul Irving is a senior fellow and past president at the Milken Institute and founding chair of its Center for the Future of Aging. He is a distinguished scholar-in-residence at the University Of Southern California Leonard Davis School Of Gerontology, a member of the National Academy of Medicine Global Commission for Healthy Longevity, and chair emeritus at Encore.org, where he has worked to bring different generations together for the common good. He previously served on the Bipartisan Policy Center Senior Health and Housing Task Force and was a participant in the 2015 White House Conference on Aging. He is the author/editor of “The Upside of Aging: How Long Life Is Changing the World of Health, Work, Innovation, Policy, and Purpose,” and the author of multiple reports/articles on the value of older adults’ experience and wisdom. |
